Another Reason To Say Adios to California

In New Mexico the County Recorder (or anyone in any county) has nothing to do with Background Check Reports. You just get one from XYZ (as they like to call it), or Sterling. The problem is, that if you order too early, they crank the date back to you don't get a full year.....short by 15 or 20 days, and you find yourself going backwards each year. I have to expressly make it crystal clear that the dates can't keep regressing. Last time, wasn't too bad because I squawked, but they usually crank them out in about two or three days, and then issue them as of whatever date they get it done.
