Re: South Carolina attorney or notary state?

Yes, SC is an attorney only state. I live here- that's how I know. The SC SOS website has a notary handbook. It clearly states that it is illegal for notaries to handle loan docs (other than apps). This is one of the reasons I am planning to move. NC has the same kinds of laws.
