I hear you. I have a few numerical goals (in terms of number of signings closed) before reaching out to SSs for more direct work, and then another numerical goal after that before trying to reach out to LO/EO/TO directly. SD has been great for cutting my teeth, but I can see that it's not a long-term solution for full-time income.
I must say that I admit having a place like SD to cut my teeth has certainly been a blessing. I just wish that we could organize (open letters, self-made unions, that kind of thing) to try and level out the playing field a bit. |
