I'm sitting here printing up a batch of documents for a signing that takes place tomorrow, January 15. In the process, I notice that there are some which are scans of documents the lender already signed and had notarized. FOR JANUARY 15. Which... is tomorrow? It's more than a typo; it appears on about 5 different documents, and each is notarized for tomorrow. I also noticed the notary's name in a latter part of the stack in which he is listed as the Senior Broker for the lender. I'm not sure there's anything wrong with the notary being an employee of the lender (though ethically... it's a little shakey in my book), but what would you do if you received documents which were clearly predated and notarized for a date other than that the signer had appeared?
