Who do you think was right?

"A Cop Attacked and Threatened a Man Who Did Nothing Wrong, Then Made His Life Hell for Complaining"
Link to an article about the encounter and what the police did when he tried to file a complaint about his treatment https://tinyurl.com/ya8cuxtq (same link w/o the "s" to ensure a clickable link http://tinyurl.com/ya8cuxtq )

The body cam video:
<div style="font-size: 0.8em"><a href="https://www.tools4noobs.com/online_tools/youtube_xhtml/">Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code</a></div>

I find it odd that the audio doesn't start until it does in the video. I think the guy should win his civil lawsuit against the police in this case.

It's not about jumping on the police and not "backing the badge", it is about holding them accountable when they do wrong thus being able to back them when they are wrongfully accused of doing wrong.
