When even Fox News stands up and says "this is wrong", you know something's going on.
If you saw any of Trump's news conference today, you may have seen what amounted to a shouting match between Trump and CNN reporter Jim Acosta over CNN's reporting, with Trump refusing to allow Acosta to even ask a question. Acosta said later that Sean Spicer, Trump's incoming press secretary, threatened to have him thrown out of the press conference.
Fox's Shepard Smith closed his show today with the following:

It was surprising to see someone from Fox coming to the defense of Acosta and CNN, but I know from experience with competing journalists on a local level back in NY that they are a VERY tight-knit group. Trump seems to have forgotten that the "dishonest media" is how he got billions in free advertising during his campaign; he thinks he no longer needs them and thinks that he can now control the news. He can control his Twitter feed and he can refuse to answer questions, but the press is still free to report on what they see and hear outside of his control - and they will, diligently, whether he likes it or not.
