Apparently, the biggest uproar in Sweden the other day and possibly what Mr. Trump mistakenly was referring to was the sad case of Biscuit, the horse, who accidentally fell in a well and had to be pulled out by a squad of official Swedish rescuers (pictures of this galvanizing national emergency are on the internet). Perhaps Biscuit was of Muslim ancestry, confusing the issue even more; I don't know. But in honor of poor Biscuit and his ordeal, we should enjoy some Swedish Biscuits. Here's a recipe:
Ingredients: Butter 4 Ounce Plain flour 6 Ounce Soft brown sugar 4 Ounce Cornflour 2 Ounce Golden syrup 2 Tablespoon Baking powder 1 Teaspoon (Leveled) Powdered cinnamon 2 Teaspoon (Leveled) Ground ginger 4 Teaspoon (Leveled) Ground cloves 2 Teaspoon (Leveled) Chopped blanched almonds 2 Ounce
Directions Beat the butter and sugar together till light and fluffy; add the golden syrup. Sift flour, cornflour, baking powder and spices together; fold in the creamed mixture with the nuts. Shape mixture into 2 rolls and wrap in grease- proof paper; leave in a cool place. When chilled through, cut into thin slices, put onto greased baking sheets and bake in a moderate oven (375° F) for about 10 minutes.
This is an authentic Swedish recipe not FAKE! Yum. |
