Sending a "certified letter"
Posted by MikeC/TX of TX on 5/12/17 7:49pm Msg #70207
In Trump's interview with Lester Holt, he mentioned several times that his law firm was sending a CERTIFIED letter to Congress, attesting to the fact that he had no ties to Russia, as if that meant something.

1) The fact that a letter is certified only means that the USPS can confirm it was delivered - it has nothing to do with the contents, which could just be a bunch of lies. As notaries, we know this. Unless there's a jurat attesting to the truth of the statements, you've got nothing. I'm not sure why the media is missing this point, but all of them seem to be so far.

2) The law firm Trump used to prove he has no involvement with Russian interests was given an award by Russia in 2016 for its extensive involvement with Russian interests. Make of that fact what you will.
