That's one reporter's opinion; a lot of the experts I've read and heard do not agree with that view. In fact, a number of them find it amusing. Comey is a lawyer - he knows what he can and can't do legally, and has for years had the reputation for being a "boy scout". I find it hard to believe that he would knowingly violate the law just to make political points.
The only ones claiming that Comey somehow "leaked" unauthorized information are Trump and his minions, and those claims are based on so far non-existent evidence. Knowing how Trump works, there will never be any evidence. He just says stuff and expects us to believe it's true. His followers will believe him and will make excuses to "prove" it. |
