Speaking for myself only, I've refrained from posting anything new about recent events (and there have been a ton of them) out of respect for the victims of the VA shooting.
I have a lot to say, as you probably know, but I think we all have to take a step back and consider what led to what could have been a massacre if not for the actions of 2 members of the Capitol Police. It's a bit ironic that the only reason they were there was to protect Rep. Scalise, the one who was most seriously injured; had he missed the practice, 20+ members of Congress would have been completely defenseless.
Rest assured, I will be back with my comments, but for now, I'm just hoping that Rep. Scalise pulls through. |
