He PLEDGED $1 million; he hasn't given anything yet.
He also pledged $1 million to 9/11 victims but never paid it; pledged another $1 million to Hurricane Sandy relief but never paid that either. The smart money says this pledge will not be honored either unless the press starts hounding him like they did when he pledged $1 million and collected about $6 million from others for veterans groups. He was finally shamed into disbursing all that money after reporters started doing what they do - asking questions. Corey Lewandowski initially lied and said it had already been paid out, but reporters were able to determine that no group had received anything up until that point.
The few times he has actually made cash donations in recent years, the money has come from the Donald J. Trump Foundation, which is actually other people's money - he hasn't donated a dime of his own money to the Foundation since 2008, he's just been taking in donations and funneling it through the Foundation as if it were coming from him. He can't do that this time because his Foundation is under investigation by the NY AG for questionable practices, and whatever funds are there have been frozen.
