How "real news" is reported
Posted by MikeC/TX of TX on 10/4/17 11:33pm Msg #71057
Investigative reporters from Politico broke the story that eventually got Tom Price fired. It took them months of very hard work to accurately source and report the story; here's an account of how they did it. This is what real journalists do. It's not an easy job and it ain't "fake news" if you can back it up with facts...

Contrast that with the stuff you read on Infowars or Daily Caller or Breitbart, where they do very little research and sometimes just make it up (e.g. "Pizzagate", Seth Rich). Alex Jones is now spreading the conspiracy theory that what happened in Las Vegas was "scripted" by the Democrats and what he calls the "deep state". Once again, what he says insults the victims by using them to promote a crazy idea that people will pay him money to hear. There is a special room in Hell for him, with his name above the door...

REAL journalists actually report the facts. They don't go off into conspiracy theories, they just report what they have learned. Calling it "fake news" just means you don't agree with the facts.
