He is just so totally out of touch
Posted by MikeC/TX of TX on 10/16/17 4:14pm Msg #71085
It's getting embarrassing. A pattern is starting to emerge - TX, FL, and NV voted for him and he had a somewhat appropriate response to their problems; gotta keep that base happy. Residents of PR and VI can't cast a vote for President, so they don't matter to him. CA went big for Clinton, so his silence now is deafening but not unexpected.

Today he FINALLY acknowledged the deaths of 4 soldiers in Niger 2 weeks ago, and that was only because a reporter called him out. But he couldn't resist taking a swipe at Obama, claiming that he and other presidents didn't call or write to the families of the fallen - a bald-faced lie, and there are photos, videos, and contemporaneous reporting that prove it's a lie. When one NBC reporter called him out on that one he fell back to his standard response when caught in a lie, "Well, I don't know if he did or not- someone told me that." "Someone" seems to tell him a lot of things that aren't true.

When the bodies of the four men killed in Benghazi were brought home, Obama was at Dover AFB to meet them. We have photos and videos.

When the bodies of the four men killed in Niger were brought home, Trump was playing golf - again. We have reports from the press pool that was with him at the time, plus his public schedule of where he was going to be that day.

Which one acted more like a commander-in-chief?
