The GOP - the party of "family values', the party that celebrates Evangelicals and claims to be based on Christian values, the party of morality in the face of the Godless socialism of the Democrats - that party doesn't care about the fact that they are being led by a totally amoral individual. The ends justify the means, no matter how those means might conflict with what they claim are strongly held religious beliefs.
Because what's most important is not whether you embrace the devil, but what the devil can do for you. Faustian bargains rarely work out well... |
