He's an idiot - uneducated, no concept about how our government works, thinks he's in charge of everything and can threaten Congress to do his bidding. His big line that his handlers thought would get applause last night - "If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation" - fell completely flat. I think there was one person clapping, and that might have been Pence.
Two years in, he still doesn't understand that this is not one of his businesses - he can't dictate what can and can't be done. Rather than try to work with Congress, he acts as if Congress should work for him. In terms of understanding his Constitutional duties and limitations, this is arguably the stupidest president we've ever elected. |
