7:30 am looked outside and the sky is cut in half. On the north side it's still blue (for now), on the south, it's black. Not dark, not cloudy...black. Very ominous looking. Scary to be truthful.
Looking south towards Vandenberg Air Force Base where they were handing out face masks a few days ago, I see it coming that direction and also from over the hill where Cheryl lives. She's up higher so must really be in it. She lives in the hills just across the freeway from me. I don't know if she's home.
We have a full day planned and my wife was up ealy cooking for a get-together later today. Went to the garage and pulled out a new and good quality face mask but will need to pick up another.
No smell or ash but we're not directly under it yet. It's very dark. Looks like a nuke went off somewhere. It's moving pretty quick. Yikes! |
