a few trips to water veggies and fruit trees. Tomato vines wilted a little, a couple of fatalities for strawberries, watermelon vines, cucumbers, bell pepper...as soon as the heat passes, I'll replace. Kale and beets love heat, and the corn is 12 feet tall...
Life of a gardener...not as hot today, relief by Wednesday. Might head to Pismo later this afternoon for a relief from the heat. Dogs love the ocean. I know they'd like to take their dog suits off. Very hot for them, but they stayed in the shade and napped all day yesterday. |
