I had to go back and listen to Janice. Whew!

While doing so I came across Etta James' version of Piece of My Heart. She did a good job of capturing the blues in that song. Many artists try to scream their way through it or turn it into a melody. Some sound good but hard to get the soulful blues out of the song that Joplin had.
