There's more to Hyperkalemia (high potassium in the blood) than just what you've eaten and hopefully your doctor is aware of your medical history. Mike, you've posted about being diabetic. Read the following article and notice that last item under "Other Causes."

High potassium can cause kidney and/or heart issues. Be a pest to your doctor. Follow through on this. You are your best advocate.
