I think you nailed it. It's just a useful device to screen, not an endorsement that those certifications are worth the money paid. As NK_UT said, it's like getting a HS diploma (or these days, even a college degree. But I digress... ) It's a way to open some doors, but it guarantees you nothing after that.
That's why some of us still hold our noses and go along with the annual BGC/certification, etc. routine that certain parties have sold other certain parties as being necessary, while they line their pockets selling those services. |
