.... if a receiving agency is going to get mad at us for having borrower date, saying they don't know if that's the date they filed or the date the loan closed, then we shouldn't be dating at all in order to avoid confusing them. Then, another one will claim the notary dropped the ball for not dating.
Possibly overthinking here, but OP did raise interesting point where different receiving agencies have different views.....
