That's exactly what I did. I replaced the LD chip with the one from the old HP cartridge that came with the printer, and VOILA! I'm back in business. And if I, a complete techno ditz, can do this chip switch, anybody can. So thanks much. Very much!
BTW: I called LD back and informed them of this success. I had already gone Round One with Customer Service over the 5 worthless cartridges I had ordered, and their idea at that time was to send me two more cartridges from a new batch... that also didn't work. So when I called them back to say how I got things to work, the Customer Service person said she would pass this info on to the higher ups, but she was still highly resistant to the obvious fact that that their cartridges didn't work. Not my idea of Customer Service. No offer to return my money for their completely defective cartridges ...but as long as I can use the HP chip, I'll get my money's worth. But certainly won't be ordering from them again. |
