Maybe we should start removing the old chip and saving them somewhere safe before recycling used cartridges for a while. We could consider it 'insurance', just in case. However, based on what Mike said, I imagine that LD and others will soon have chips that work for newer printers. (Let's hope so, anyway!) I've always wondered where the folks who make re-manufactured cartridges get their printer chips, since my printers still show "Genuine HP..." for the cartridges I buy.
I'm still using LD Products/4Inkjets. So far, so good. I had one defective cartridge last year that was my last in a batch and had been sitting on the shelf for over a year. I have an email file where I save order confirmations, so I was able to provide an order number, and they sent me a replacement the next day. no problem. Fortunately, that one worked fine. |
