... no, I have never done that nor do I know of anybody who has, but why not? However, even tho you didn't ask: If you're seriously contemplating it, be prepared for all sorts of continued bad behavior on their part. The receptionists will give you the runaround, say they know nothing about anything, say nobody can help you, accuse you of trespassing and call security to throw you out or, worse, you might end up like those two guys at Starbucks. But if you're in for the long haul, go for it. I'd make a protest sign that says something nasty about NLU and march in front on the sidewalk in a Big Bird costume until they agreed to pay you. As soon as the press shows up, they'll cut you a check.
OR go in with a big smile and a big bouquet of flowers, asking for the person who hired you. That may get you through the door; then when you get into his /her office inform him/her the flowers are not for them and why the heck won't they pay you for your hard work?
Good luck!
PS: the reason I've never done that is cos I've got a kick-a** collection letter that guarantees you'll get paid and also guarantees you'll never hear from them again! |
