I agree Linda, I don't think they will get involved in web cam notarization's here in FL, but the e-closings via a tablet and signature pad is going to hit. Less paper work and immediate results as far as funding, and a lot of companies are making the transition to go "green" already. That is the final step. Many are already used to signing their application on line, the doc-u sign, the acknowledgement of the wire information, and this will be no different except they will have to go their title comapny to sign and get keys, get their printed package after signed. I believe that they will insist on purchases being held at a local TC, and if not, they will go the usual way, but the push will be this way and the buyer's will need a good excuse why they cannot go there....Refi's with a 3 day RTC will probably just go the usual way. I can't imagine any title company or SS to expect a notary to set up shop and do this on their own in a buyer's home on their wifi. Sort of defeats the purpose, especially if they cannot keys right away or their copy package.
I also think each large title company will have their own tailored software program...it won't be one size fits all. Pavaseo is just one of many.
We'll see, but that is what I see happening in the next year in the larger urban TC's.
