bailed due to ID issue. The wife, who had inherited the property when her parents passed as successor trustee, refi'd for a better rate. She had married 4 years ago, hence her ID did not have her married, hyphenated maiden/married name and the notary refused to accept.
There were tax returns with hyphenated names, as well as utility bills. Clearly, this is one and the same person.
We handled it with an AKA statement.
Fortunately for me, I garner a lot of work like this. Not so fortunate for borrowers who are caught up in the snare of ID information that is not current. Especially when the DMV is only recently opening up after Covid-19 shutdown. |
