I am sorry to hear about your sister and brother-in-law. I hope they recover quickly and thoroughly.
To hear that they took all precautions and still got covid, must be frustrating.

Keep up the good work on taking precautions in your work. You're right, it is so unpredictable. Which is so challenging. Keep your chin-up and do what you need to do for yourself and your family.
We all must do our part to do our very best, for the sake of others and ourselves, to reduce the spread. The fact that your sister got it, with all she did, really shows that point.
Anything that we can do, individually, to help reduce the spread, is worthwhile and needed.
