This is not a post defending Trump but rather a post regarding the thought that ANTIFA would not, or has not, ever used the symbol in question.
While the link I am providing does point out that it is not a "common" symbol used in the U.S., it does appear to be careful to not state that it has never been used in the U.S. As far as ANTIFA groups worldwide, oh yes, it most definitely has been, and is, used by them. Honestly, considering where it came from, I am probably just as shocked as you are that they would use it at all as they do.
It took a lot of deep searching within Google searches to find actual result links that would show such information as is contained in this link, even when I changed the search to include the exact website information. It was towards the very end of the search results (i.e. multiple pages into the search results). Take that as you will in regards to Google seemingly letting its own agenda control certain search results. This isn't the first time I've seen specific links such as ones with the exact headline, media name, and even the date of certain articles hidden behind pages of irrelevant result links, so ... may just be my own experience, but it has been my experience.
Anyway, here is the link. It does contain multiple links within for citations and references http://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/47917/have-antifa-members-used-an-inverted-red-triangle-as-a-symbol |
