Notary picyture ID requested by Lender
Posted by  LeeH/IN of IN on 7/21/11 3:29pm Msg #390507
I did a purchase with mortgage closing and the lender is requesting a copy of my D.L. or picture ID. I don't understand what this has to do with the loan. Seems if they wanted anything it would be my commission #. Actually, the SS is supposed to supply the copy. This is a new SS for me and the didn't request any credentials other than a W-9. When I brought this up with the SS I was told to put a copy of my ID in the pkg.

Should I put a copy of my DL in the package? It doesn't feel right.
