Soooo true and when the loan officer is there wooing the agent it gets to be a 3 ring circus trying to guide the signers. If it is a first time home buyer and I think they are a nervous wreck to start I turn and address the LO and REA and ask: "May I conduct the signing with your clients please? Any missing initial or sig could delay the funding. P.S. I also command a seating arrangement that gives me the ability to watch their every initial and sig and a smooth paper flow. Here in California where folks refi ALOT they usually greet you with PLEASE DO THIS ASAP WE ARE EXPERIENCED AND HAVE DONE THIS OVER AND OVER and the last notary took close to 2 hours. I POLITELY put my foot down and say I'll speed as fast as I can so as to NOT let you make a mistake or omission. Being 'in charge' and 'not chatty' is what most folks want.
