The article, linked below, with 12 FAQs about the Covid-19 vaccine, gives the most comprehensive (and understandable) explanation of how the current vaccines work, and the associated risks, that I've seen anywhere. It was prepared by Immunologists at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where my niece is a PhD Virologist. (She works in the same department as these folks, and spoke highly of them.)
