I feel your language is imprecise. In the scenario I'm talking about, there are TWO certificates. The first is an electronic certificate about the document the principal signed, perhaps an acknowledgement certificate. That's electronic, and I've make a paper copy of the electronic document and the electronic certificate.

Then I fill out a paper true copy certificate saying the paper document and acknowledgement are true copies of the electronic originals. I believe that's allowed.
