Thanks for so many great tips; I'll give them a try. I did sign on to SnapDocs and have received 11 texts asking if I'm available. I answered in the affirmative except in 3 of the cases. Two of them were received in the mid afternoon with the sigining to be done later the same day at NO SPECIFIC TIME. The exact wording was TBD. As a brand new agent, the worst thing that could happen would be for me to actually be selected with (for example) an hour before the appointment. (Remember NO TIME WAS GIVEN, BUT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LATER THAT SAME DAY). These signings are too important for me to be put into a position where the "borrower" did not have a positive experience because of me possibly receiving the paperwork at the last minute and not having the time to "go through them properly" and be prepared to have all signatures in their proper places; etc; etc; etc. Too much potential for a rush, rush, rush process especially for a newbie. I chose to BYPASS THOSE 3. I did try to be assigned 7 of them, but they were "ASSIGNED TO ANOTHER NOTARY". The last one conflicted with a doctors appt that I needed to be with my Wife on. So I am getting a few texts asking if I'm available, and I feel pretty confident that my day will come. I've had many, many years of experience in sales of every type except real estate. As a licensed Life & Health Insurance agent, I've had to oversee more paperwork that you can imagine. Also, I've refinanced my home several times and have become famiiar with the signing process. In closing, thanks for the great tips, and you may rest assured, I'll keep riding this train.. |
