The answer provided by NNA just doesn't apply to the OP's scenario. The OP scenario is the signer has satisfactory ID for both names, can the notary put John Doe AKA Jack Rogers in the certificate. The NNA scenario is the signer only has satisfactory ID for one of the two names.
