| I think that JanetK_CA, JustANotary, the NNA, and I all agree that if the signer wants name1 AKA name2 in the notary's certificate, but the notary can only verify name1, the answer is just no, regardless of what state you're in. My impression was that JustANotary was asking, what if the signer want's to try again, and next time brings satisfactory ID for both names. The NNA web page does not address that scenario. |
