I think that a lot of companies call Notaries that have never done a signing before and offer them the $40 or $45 dollars.

If you have never done a signing before, and know nothing about it, being told that you'll be paid $40 to $45 to notarize a few docs and that it should only take you 30 minutes tops, seems like a lot of money.

I can't see experienced Notary Signing Agents accepting $40 or $45 to do a signing. They know what's involved and how long it really takes, and a lot of time that includes fax-backs.
