| Brenda- my heart goes out to Evan's family. My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia at five. It is one of the most heart wrenching things a parent can go through. The good news is that research has come a long way, and what used to be impossible, has become very possible. I don't know what type of leukemia Evan has, but the most common childhood ones are now about 80 percent curable. My daughter Simone spent three years in treatment, now off treatment 16 months and thriving. I thank God ( and the excellent doctors and nurses who took such good care of her for so long )every day I wake up and see my precious daughter. My prayers are with Evan and his family. |
