a) I always get a receipt with date and time stamp.
b) SS and title/escrow can log on to Fed Ex website with tracking number and see exactly when package was checked in locally, when it got to Memphis, etc.

no need for any of the drama if they had just gone on the Fed Ex website....paper trail is there.
