"Do men really need 4 month paid paternity leave?"
Four months is excessive, but men need SOME time to help their wives and adjust to the reality of a new baby in the family. I would think that 4 weeks would be reasonable to help set up a routine.
On the other hand, of course, if the new dad is going to spend the leave sitting on the couch, drinking beer, and watching ESPN all day, then no, he doesn't need any paternity leave at all. |
