I was never going to run to an attorney anyway. I just needed time to get in to where I knew I would get the medical attention that was right for me. I learned the hard way when I had a roller blading accident many years ago. I injured my rotator cuff and was filled full of a Class A narcotic for six weeks to mask the pain. The injury was still there and I was popping pain pills like they were candy to make the pain go away. Many years later and several injuries along the way I have learned what works best for me . . . chiropractic care and physical therapy. I am happy that I was able to ride it out an extra day and get in yesterday to get the help I needed. So far I am only out $59.00 for my exam and some physical therapy, $65.00 for five x-rays and a radiologist reading them, and $280.00 for a closing I had to give back for today because the doctor said I shouldn't be driving until I can stretch out that left arm again.
I am hoping a few more chiropractic/physical therapy visits will get me back up and running again. I have seen too many people hooked on pain pills and I have seen too many people sitting around looking for that lawsuit pay-day. That is not how I live my life. I am like an athlete . . . I love what I do and I want to do everything I can to get back out on that playing field. I know everything will turn out okay. Thank you Carolyn. |
