You are not clear as to whether this is a General (Financial) POA or a Health Care Directive.
Personally I would not "certify" a copy of a financial POA. The potential liability is great If, for example it has been revoked or the document presented has been changed, for example, a page switched containing changes in the powers granted or of the agents. How would a notary know?
The best practice is to record the Original & get certified copies from the recorder's office. |
