Thanks everyone. This was the notary at the library - I needed something notarized. I brought it to his attention, asked him to fill it in, that's when he said it wasn't necessary, and wouldn't do it. Hopefully, it won't be a problem, but we'll see. I couldn't believe he just wouldn't write that date in for me!
