I believe it is hard to find someone if not listed in SC to work for you for a one-off assignment. Most of us will not take risks from unknowns that are not listed here, much less another notary calling them.
It's a shame that our brain is trained to think most are guilty of "not paying" unless they have a rating here. I will not work for anyone new unless I can find them here or it say's "vendor pay" on the assignment.
Our professional is not regulated enough to make sure that payment will get sent, so over the years this is what happens. |
