That's so funny - I accepted an order from them on Saturday night (5/30/20) for a closing scheduled for Tuesday evening (6/2/20) at 6:30PM through signingorder.com. I was leery because I had never heard of them, but it was $90 and it was in my zip code, so I wouldn't be traveling more than a mile, heck I might even know the borrower. I confirmed with the borrower. I left for my 4PM appointment, still no docs - Cloud Signings emailed NationalLink and copied me asking where the docs were. Got back from my 4PM appointment at 5:30 PM - still nothing. Emailed Cloud Signings asking what was up - I said the appointment was 8 blocks away, so I could still do it even if I got the docs at 6:15PM. Nothing. Texted the borrower to see if he had been told if his closing was proceeding or had been rescheduled. The borrower told me another notary had been in contact with him and was doing the closing at 6:30PM as scheduled. I was pissed! Cloud Signings then told me that NationalLink had ordered the closing from them, but then scheduled it directly. So, basically, I think Cloud Signings is a joke. I passed on other orders because I had this scheduled. Never again. |
