A new approach out of desperation?
Posted by  JanetK_CA of CA on 11/19/20 3:22pm Msg #626603
Or a title company that isn't used to doing remote signings?

I got a call directly from a borrower this morning about helping with a purchase signing for her and her husband. The title company sent the documents directly to them and told them to go find a notary. I've seen that often with seller packages, but in all my years, I can't remember a purchase signing like that. Could be they didn't know the borrowers were going to be elsewhere and didn't plan on a remote notary, or just didn't want to deal with it. Hopefully I'll find out. (Borrowers will be paying me directly.)

I'd be very fine with it, though, if this becomes a new trend. Smile
