I bought also one of their little bluetooth beacon doo-dads (maybe $20?). I have multiple USB ports in my car, so maybe not practical for everyone. It automatically recognizes when I travel over 5MPH and begins tracking, emails me both weekly and monthly reports (of course you can also look at details for a single day or trip and any point), and also has options for tracking fuel, maintenance, and insurance expenses. It also lets you create profiles for multiple cars if that's necessary, and to file mileage for different purposes. (I have two businesses, and sometimes I use my car for the other one.)
I tried using the Quicken SE app last year. It claims to auto record trips but I would find it often randomly stopping, and in mid-October 2019 it stopped recording all together. I didn't realize this until the end of November. So much work to go back and retroactively (and manually) create logs for all that. |
