Prospective/renewing California notaries undergo a BGC through FBI and DOJ every 4 years (when applying for commission or renewing commission). Then, we have those companies requiring annual BGC ....

I first started this biz in January 2006. When BGCs started being required, I got mine here at NotRot. Soon thereafter, many of those companies moved to requiring either the one issued through NNA or Sterling, ONLY. The one here was not accepted. Believe me; I tried. In order to keep those partners, I had to comply. Something to be said about XYZ's marketing department!
