Sounds like a plan... a hunky fireman to distract from the needle, then a reward of awesome cheesecake! I can think of much worse things... 
But are restaurants in the area even open? It's been a long while since I've even thought about trying to go out to a restaurant to eat (even outside), but I've read about how seriously the area has been impacted by the pandemic. I hope most of them are able to survive until we eventually get back to whatever normal will be...
