The Notary Rotary software doesn't get updated much. URLs that start with http: get turned into links. Ones with https: don't. So if you turn it into a link, you're sending it to a less secure version of the site. The less secure version might, or might not, redirect to the secure version.
As for tinyurl, I never follow one of those unless I know the person who sent it (and for some of my less tech-savy friends, I never follow any links they send me, of any kind). |
