Brothers are not what they used to be. Customer service is now horrible. I have always had Brothers and they stood by their product and would send a new one out if under 12 months and not get it fixed. Then the last one had a faulty drum, and I needed to purchase a new Brother toner and give them the serial number off it, the pre toner they sent with it wasn't good enough. Forget it...1/3 the cost of the machine is a new Brother toner. I went and purchased a non brother replacement toner and works great. Then they started having codes to change the toner, so you are wasting 1/2 the generic toner now, so you have to reset the machine about 1/2 way through. It a PIA. BUT for the price we pay for them vs a HP, I guess we deal with it. I get the toners for under $15.00 each and good for 8,000 pages. That's the only thing keeping in the Brother business. |
